Women’s World League Semi Final, Brussels

The Vantage Black Sticks Women are set to take on some of the world’s best hockey teams at the FIH World League Semi Final from 21 June – 2 July at the Stade Fallon in Brussels.

The Kiwis will join reigning world champions Netherlands, hosts Belgium, Oceania champions Australia, Asian champions Korea, China, Spain, Malaysia, Scotland and Italy.

Ten teams will take part in each Semi Final, with the other event being held in Johannesburg between 8-23 July.

As well as qualification for the FIH World League Final in Auckland this November (New Zealand are already guaranteed as hosts), both Semi Final event also serve as Hockey World Cup 2018 qualifiers.

Whilst vital FIH Hero World Ranking points will be awarded depending on final standings, the top teams from each Semi Final will qualify for the 2018 Hockey World Cups in India (Men) and England (Women).
